About the plan
The exhibition ‘Manolo Millares: Centenary’ is presented at the Instituto Cabrera Pinto in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, commemorating the hundredth anniversary of the birth of the renowned artist from Gran Canaria. The exhibition, curated by Carlos Díaz-Bertrana and Alba Rodríguez del Toro, offers an exhaustive journey through the artist's career, from his early works to his final creations, made in the early 1970s.
The exhibition includes a total of 32 works, notably some of his iconic burlap pieces, which reflect his unmistakable style and experimentation with materials. This exhibition has been made possible thanks to the collaboration of various private collections and the support of prestigious institutions such as the Gobierno de Canarias, the Ayuntamiento de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno (CAAM), LM Arte Colección, and the Fundación CajaCanarias.
