Tacoronte is the heart of the Tacoronte-Acentejo denomination of origin, the oldest in the Canaries, and much of its agenda revolves around wine: tastings, fairs, open cellars and harvest festivals. Alongside that runs the municipality's cultural programming, with theatre, concerts and workshops in the venues of the town centre.

The main fiesta is that of the Santísimo Cristo de los Dolores in September, which fills the town centre for more than a week. And if you're coming for the wine, November is the month: between San Andrés and the cellars opening the new vintage, that's when there's most going on.
