Garachico was the most important port in Tenerife until the 1706 eruption buried it, and what survives is an exceptionally well-preserved old town that today makes the best possible stage for its programming. Concerts in cobbled squares, exhibitions in former convents and outdoor activities beside the natural rock pools of El Caletón.

This page collects everything announced in the municipality: music, theatre, exhibitions, workshops and the local fiesta calendar. It's a small place, so the agenda isn't long — but nearly everything on it is worth the drive.

The main event is the Fiestas de San Roque in August, and above all its Romería, one of the most genuine in the north of the island. Every five years the town also holds the Fiestas Lustrales in honour of the Santísimo Cristo de la Misericordia, which transform the place entirely.
