Things to do in Vilaflor de Chasna

Vilaflor is the highest village in Spain at around 1,400 metres, and that shapes everything that happens here. Its agenda leans heavily on the mountains: hiking through the pine forest, stargazing under some of the cleanest skies in Europe, and activities tied to the Teide access route just above.

If you're heading up, factor in the altitude: there can be snow in winter and night-time temperatures drop far below what people expect of Tenerife. For astronomy activities it's worth booking ahead, as places are usually limited.
