'Pulling Down One's Knickers'
About the plan
'Pulling Down One's Knickers' is the new exhibition by Tenerife artist Juana Fortuny for Galería BIBLI in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The exhibition opens on 11 September at 19:30 and can be visited until 13 November 2026.
Juana Fortuny (Tenerife, 1971), who holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Universidad de La Laguna, has developed a sustained and unique career in contemporary art in the Canary Islands for over two decades. She has built her own recognisable artistic language, using textiles, artisan construction, and soft sculpture.
Her work explores profound issues related to the body, emotions, intimacy, human relationships, and fragility. Through meticulous creative processes, Fortuny has developed a practice in which textiles transcend their role as a medium to become sculptural material, body, and a space for experience.
Don't miss this exhibition in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, open from 11/09: one of the essential art events in the Metropolitan Area.
