Temporary Exhibition: «Smell to Believe»

Smell to Believe is an immersive and interactive scientific exhibition that explores the fascinating world of smell from multiple perspectives. Hosted at the Museo de la Ciencia y el Cosmos in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, this exhibition delves into the chemical, physiological, historical, medical, and anthropological aspects related to one of the most important, yet often least understood, senses.

Visitors will have the opportunity to discover:

• How odours are perceived
• The role of smell throughout human history
• Its profound influence on emotions and memories
• The diverse applications of smell in fields as varied as health, food, perfumery, and advertising

This ambitious exhibition project is jointly organised by the Instituto de Productos Naturales y Agrobiología (IPNA-CSIC) and Museos de Tenerife, an institution under the Cabildo de Tenerife. It is supported by the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología - Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación and the Gobierno de Canarias.
