The municipality of Güímar celebrates Finaos Eve 2026 with a special programme combining tradition, mystery, and music in Plaza de San Pedro. This festival, which pays tribute to the Canarian Finaos culture, offers free entry to all events and promises a night full of activities to remember the deceased in a unique and cultural way.
The celebration will begin at 20:30 with the presentation of 'Lucía y la mano del finado', an intriguing dramatised route. This experience, based on real events, aims to immerse attendees in mystery stories that promise to chill them to the bone.
Later, the evening will continue with a musical performance by the group Soul Sanet, whose concert is scheduled for 21:00. The grand finale will be the traditional and much-anticipated popular chestnut roast (castañada), a moment to enjoy roasted chestnuts and share the essence of this deeply rooted Canarian custom.
