Visits to the Masonic Temple in Santa Cruz de Tenerife
About the plan
The Masonic Temple in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, designed by architect Manuel de Cámara y Cruz and completed in 1904, is an architectural gem on the island. Considered one of the country's most outstanding examples of symbolic architecture, its Egyptian-inspired facade, palmiform columns, sphinxes, and the characteristic 'all-seeing eye' make it an exceptional piece. It was acquired by Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council in 2001 and declared an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) the following year, guaranteeing its preservation and public access.
Self-guided visits to the Masonic Temple offer the opportunity to explore this enigmatic space without a guide, discovering its corners at your own pace. They can be made on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, from 12:00 to 18:00; on Wednesdays and Fridays, from 11:00 to 17:00; and on Sundays and public holidays, from 11:00 to 14:00. The temple remains closed on Mondays.
For a more in-depth experience, guided tours are available, requiring advance booking at least 48 hours beforehand. These tours take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, from 11:00 to 12:00, as well as on Wednesdays and Fridays, from 17:00 to 18:00.
Discover this fascinating cultural activity in Santa Cruz de Tenerife: an unmissable event for 01/11.
