Óscar Domínguez. Letters to Marcelle Ferry
About the plan
The exhibition 'Óscar Domínguez. Letters to Marcelle Ferry' offers a deep dive into the life and work of the renowned surrealist painter from Tenerife, Óscar Domínguez. The exhibition can be visited at TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes, specifically in Sala A (Floor 2), in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, from 27 March to 18 October 2026.
This fascinating exhibition explores the intense and passionate relationship the artist had with the writer Marcelle Ferry. Through their correspondence and a selection of his most significant works from the 1930s, the public can discover new facets of Domínguez.
The letters reveal not only his romantic and erotic side, but also his role as a writer and activist, and the creative and political depth of his work. His connection to his last trip to Tenerife in 1936, a key period in his life, is particularly highlighted.
Admission to the exhibition is free, and visiting hours are Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 20:00.
Don't miss this unmissable exhibition in Santa Cruz de Tenerife starting on 27/03 – a cultural plan in the Área Metropolitana de Tenerife for art lovers.
