About the plan
The LM arte colección gallery in San Cristóbal de La Laguna hosts 'Karekansui', an exhibition by the renowned visual artist and researcher M. Lohrum. Originally from Santa Cruz de Tenerife (1984), M. Lohrum is a leading figure in performative drawing, a discipline in which she specialises.
The artist's academic background includes a PhD in Fine Arts from the Universidad de La Laguna (2023) and a Master's degree from Central Saint Martins, London (2017), where she consolidated her artistic practice. Her work has transcended borders, exhibiting internationally in countries such as the United Kingdom, Portugal, France, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, Turkey, China, Japan, the United States, and Australia. She has received significant accolades, including the Anne Judd Award from the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Drawing Prize (2025), first prize in Zealous Stories: Performance (2021), and the prestigious Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize (2020).
