About the plan
The Women and Sport Day 2026 focuses on Introduction to Running, an activity that promotes an active lifestyle in a comfortable and flexible way. This event is specifically designed for women over 14 years old interested in getting into the world of running safely and efficiently. It will take place at the Centro de Atletismo de Tenerife (CIAT), located in Tíncer, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The workshop aims to provide basic notions and training fundamentals to ensure safe and guaranteed practice. Registration is free and the sign-up period will open on Monday 5 October 2026.

- How Running and training affect Women's health
- Strength Training applied to Running
- How to approach our first competition (physical and mental preparation)
- Common myths about regular Running practice
The training will be delivered by two experts:
- DIANA DE LA ROSA JORGE: Graduate in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, registered professional 53610, physical educator specialising in athletics and triathlon, and Senior Technician in Animation and Physical and Sports Activities.
- TERESA LINARES HERNÁNDEZ: Graduate in Pedagogy and Information Sciences, a leading international athlete in the Canary Islands and recipient of the Sports Merit Medal from the Government of the Canary Islands.
