11th 'Tenerife Russet Apple' Photography Competition – 2026
About the plan
The El Sauzal Town Council and the Tenerife Russet Apple Association are organising the eleventh edition of their photography competition, dedicated to the Tenerife Russet Apple. This competition invites participants to capture the essence of this iconic island fruit, with the collaboration of Volcanic Xperience from the Government of the Canary Islands. Participation is free and open to different age categories.
The registration and submission period runs from Thursday 1 to Friday 23 October 2026. Those interested in participating can request information from the Town Council's Department of Primary Sector, by calling 922 570 000 (ext. #1141) or writing to francisco.hernandez@elsauzal.es. Photos and attachments must be sent to the email address cultura@elsauzal.es. It is important to note that attachments must be handwritten or electronically signed and sent in PDF or JPG format.
The competition includes two prize categories:
- Best Photograph (14 to 17 years old category)
- 1st Prize: Gift voucher worth 150 € + commemorative diploma.
- 2nd Prize: Gift voucher worth 75 € + commemorative diploma.
- Best Photograph (over 18s category)
- 1st Prize: Gift voucher worth 150 € + commemorative diploma.
- 2nd Prize: Gift voucher worth 75 € + commemorative diploma.
The award ceremony will take place on Saturday 31 October at 18:00 in the Plenary Hall of El Sauzal Town Council.
