About the plan
The 6th 'Ciudad de Tacoronte' Historical Novel Festival is held in the municipality of Tacoronte with a clear commitment: to highlight the fundamental role of women in the social, economic, and cultural evolution of the Canary Islands. This event, which receives a subsidy of €28,000 from the Cabildo de Tenerife for its realisation, promises to be a space for exploration and reflection.
The festival's programme, running from Friday 23 October to Sunday 8 November 2026, will offer a wide variety of multidisciplinary activities:
- Round tables with experts and authors
- Conferences exploring different eras and themes
- A cultural programme designed to explore historical figures, events, and episodes from new perspectives, thereby enriching the collective narrative of the Canary Islands in the fields of literature, poetry, history, and ethnography.
