DLibro 2026
About the plan
The DLIBRO 2026 festival was created with the mission to go beyond the traditional book format, transforming into a dynamic space for creation, training, exchange, and celebration. This event, taking place at the Teatro Leal in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, aims to highlight the book's value chain and promote universal access to reading and written culture, fostering knowledge through art and culture.
The programme combines various activities:
- Professional activities from the book sector for the general public
- Workshops for the educational community
- Recreational activities centred around performing arts and music
The festival invites attendees to "Read, feel, live the book" and is inspired by the profound reflection of Jorge Luis Borges: "Of the various instruments of man, the most astonishing is, undoubtedly, the book. The others are extensions of his body. The microscope and the telescope are extensions of his sight; the telephone is an extension of the voice; then we have the plough and the sword, extensions of his arm. But the book is something else: the book is an extension of memory and imagination."
