FICINDIE 2026 Closing and Awards Ceremony
About the plan
The Sala Cultural El Desleal in San Cristóbal de La Laguna hosts the closing ceremony and the highly anticipated awards presentation for the 6th edition of the Canary Islands International Independent and Auteur Film Festival (FICINDIE). This event marks the grand finale of a month dedicated to cinema, celebrating the most innovative cinematic perspectives and proposals from Europe, America, Africa, and Asia. The closing day will take place on Saturday 31 October at 18:30.
Throughout October, El Desleal has been part of this festival. Specifically, on Thursdays 1, 8, 15 and 22 October, from 18:00, the venue screened a carefully curated selection of films participating in #FICINDIE 2026. Each session included an enriching discussion panel, facilitating debate and bringing independent cinema closer to the public from multiple perspectives.
On Saturday 31 October, attention will turn to the final event with the awards ceremony of the Canary Islands International Independent and Auteur Film Festival. The ceremony, starting at 18:30, will culminate with a live performance by singer Desiree López, promising an emotional and festive close to this prominent cinematic event.
If you're looking for things to do in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, don't miss this film event on 31/10, which brings FICINDIE to a close in the Tenerife Metropolitan Area.
