Yo, Frankenstein
About the plan
Yo, Frankenstein is the highly anticipated premiere from Plátano y Anguila Producciones at Espacio La Granja in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Created and directed by Elisa Cano, this innovative work is presented as a hybrid circus where technology and spirituality intertwine.
The piece offers an immersive journey from ancient rituals to the most cutting-edge tech ecosystem, incorporating digital puppeteers and augmented reality monsters that interact with the audience. It's an ideal show for ages 12 and up, with an approximate duration of 60 minutes.
Synopsis: Yo, Frankenstein
On broken islands, a Frankenstein girl, raised in a monstrous circus, is taken in by a pack of wild foxes who teach her to revive what the world had given up for dead. Upon arriving in the carnival-city, Frankenstein awakens sleeping souls, and the people proclaim her Queen and honorary citizen. However, every crown has its weight: her father reappears to claim her, arranging her marriage to a Goat-Man of the Legion. Frankenstein rebels and decides to fly, but in creating herself—birthing her own monster to survive—freedom will demand her own heart.
