22nd El Sauzal Amateur Theatre Festival · 2026

The municipality of El Sauzal is getting ready to celebrate the 22nd edition of the Amateur Theatre Festival, an event that commemorates two decades of passion for performing arts and local talent. This festival, held at the Teatro El Sauzal, next to the Town Hall, offers a diverse programme featuring a variety of plays that showcase the creativity of regional theatre companies, ranging from vibrant comedies to moving dramas.

The festival will run from Friday 4 to Tuesday 8 December 2026. It's important to note that admission is free for the competition stages, allowing free access to most amateur performances. For the professional closing performance, the price is €12 (general admission), with a special rate of €9 for students, under-25s, over-65s, and residents of El Sauzal municipality.

Tickets can be purchased from various points:

• At the Theatre Offices (Calle Constitución, nº 3), Tuesday to Friday from 08:00 to 15:00.
• At the box office, 90 minutes before the start of each show.
• Via the online ticketing platform Ticketty.

To benefit from reduced rates, it is essential to present the relevant accreditation at the box office. Spectators are advised that once a performance has started, entry to the auditorium will not be permitted.
