Tránsito

Ópera de Tenerife stages 'Tránsito', a contemporary lyrical work with music and libretto by the acclaimed Jesús Torres. Based on Max Aub's novel of the same name, this production explores the profound themes of pain, displacement, and the complex moral dilemmas experienced by Spanish Republican exiles in Mexico. 'Tránsito' has been recognised for its innovation and quality, receiving the Premio al Impulso for the best new contemporary lyrical creation proposal at the 2025 edition of the VII Premios Ópera XXI.
