The Lata de Zinc venue in San Cristóbal de La Laguna is getting ready to welcome Tō Yō, the acclaimed psychedelic quartet from Tokio. The Japanese band, with their distinctive acid rock and psychedelia sound, promises an intense night exploring the limits of the genre. Their influences stem from a rich history of Japanese psychedelic rock, with pioneers like Acid Mothers Temple, Flower Travellin´ Band, and Kikagaku Moyo, but they also incorporate the contemporary sensibilities of young people living in today's Tokio.
According to vocalist and guitarist Masami Makino, Tō Yō's sound is "sometimes violent and sometimes naive," aiming to awaken the most primitive senses and sublimate the soul's ascent and its uncontrollable impulses. Their major influences include bands with complex and groundbreaking visions such as Far East Family Band, J. A. Seazer, and the legendary Jimi Hendrix. Tickets for this event are priced at 10€.
