Tensamba 2026
About the plan
Tensamba 2026 presents Trío Corrente, one of the key groups in contemporary Brazilian instrumental jazz. Founded in 2001 by Edu Ribeiro (drums), Fábio Torres (piano) and Paulo Paulelli (double bass), the trio has forged its own distinctive sound, combining the elegance of choro and MPB with the creative freedom of jazz, flawlessly balancing virtuosity and intimacy.
With a solid international career and a repertoire blending classics and original compositions, their global renown was cemented when they received the Grammy and Latin Grammy for Best Latin Jazz Album for Song for Maura, alongside Paquito D’Rivera. This firmly establishes Trío Corrente as an essential benchmark for both audiences and critics within the jazz scene.
This concert, part of the Tensamba festival —born from two young Canarians' unconditional love for Brazilian culture—, will take place at the Teatro Leal in San Cristóbal de La Laguna. The performance will start at 20:30 and is a ticketed event.
Don't miss this festival event in San Cristóbal de La Laguna on 17/10: an unmissable encounter with Brazilian jazz in the Metropolitan Area.
