Tejina: The Beating Land
About the plan
Discover Tejina, in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, through the guided route 'The Beating Land'. This experience aims to recover collective memory and rediscover the essence of this historic and cultural enclave. Tejina is a terrace nestled between two ravines, which historically has been a key point where mountain and coastal paths converge, as well as a centre of great cultural significance that actively preserves the legacy of its past through its traditions and folklore.
The route explores the indissoluble bond between the people of Tejina and their land, understood not only as agricultural soil, but as the unifying element that has shaped the town's history, politics, culture, and festivities over the centuries.
The route is circular, of low difficulty, and lasts approximately two hours, passing through the town's urban centre. The starting point is Plaza de Tejina, opposite the Church of San Bartolomé. This activity offers free access.
This recurring guided route is scheduled for Sunday 29 November 2026 at 10:00. Bookings open exactly one week before the activity date. For reference, the route has also taken place on the following dates in 2026:
- Saturday 3 October
- Saturday 10 October
- Sunday 11 October
- Saturday 17 October
