'Neva' and 'Cerebro'
About the plan
The Auditorio de Tenerife Adán Martín in Santa Cruz de Tenerife presents a double bill featuring the plays 'Neva' and 'Cerebro', two theatrical productions that encourage reflection and audience participation.
'Neva' transports the audience to St. Petersburg on 9 January 1905, the tragic Bloody Sunday. The play recounts the attempt of three actors to rehearse amidst violent political repression, featuring the notable presence of Olga Knipper, widow of the celebrated writer Antón Chéjov.
Meanwhile, 'Cerebro' is a project that delves into the fragility and complexity of the human brain. Developed in collaboration with performance artist Jorge Becker, this performance-game explores the reality of Becker, who lives with severe cognitive, physical, and visual sequelae after contracting a virus over a decade ago. 'Cerebro' audiences are invited to actively participate, using their mobile phones to choose the order of scenes, songs, and the development of the action.
It is recommended that attendees of 'Cerebro' also attend the dramatised reading of 'Neva', as Jorge Becker starred in a production of the latter play years ago, thus establishing a thematic and artistic link between the two. Both productions are directed by Francisco Medina Donoso.
Don't miss this theatrical event in Santa Cruz de Tenerife on 02/10, a unique opportunity to enjoy contemporary theatre in the Metropolitan Area.
