Mao Fujita (piano)
About the plan
The Auditorio de Tenerife presents, as part of its Chamber Series piano concerts, an exceptional recital by acclaimed Japanese pianist Mao Fujita. The event, titled "From Clarity to Fire", will be held in the Sala de Cámara (Chamber Hall) on Tuesday 8 December 2026 at 19:30, with a duration of 1 hour and 45 minutes (including a 20-minute interval). Tickets are priced at 15 €.
Mao Fujita, 25, offers a journey through more than a century of pianistic imagination, exploring everything from the transparency and balance of classicism to the expressive intensity of late romanticism and modernity. His musical sensitivity and naturalness have impressed international critics. The New York Times wrote: «As soon as his fingers touched the keys, waves of ethereal filigree, beautifully shaped and achieved, emerged in almost continuous streams», following his US debut at Carnegie Hall in January 2023. Born in Tokyo, Fujita won First Prize at the prestigious Clara Haskil International Piano Competition in Switzerland (2017) and the Silver Medal at the Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow (2019), among many other international awards.
Access to the hall is permitted only for those over five years old. Once the doors are closed, no late entry will be permitted.
