Macabre
About the plan
'Macabro' is an intriguing play showing at Teatro Unión Tejina in San Cristóbal de La Laguna. The plot follows Tiago, a young man battling schizophrenia and the dark presences that torment him. To confront his fears, Tiago agrees to participate in a session with his psychiatrist, the enigmatic Dr. Max, in an old, abandoned theatre that has belonged to his family.
What begins as a therapeutic experience quickly turns into a series of unsettling events that challenge reality and Tiago's perceptions. The story becomes complicated with the appearance of a dark family legacy, directly linked to the figure of the cruel Fray Diego, which introduces new unknowns and mysteries into a plot full of secrets, visions, and unexpected revelations. As the play progresses, Tiago discovers that the threats surrounding him might have a much deeper and more complex origin than he initially imagined.
Beyond suspense and terror, 'Macabro' invites reflection on the perception of reality, the inescapable weight of the past, and the intrinsic vulnerability of the human condition. The staging promises to keep the audience in constant tension and uncertainty, immersing them in a profound theatrical experience.
Don't miss this play in San Cristóbal de La Laguna on 15/11, a psychological horror cultural event in the Metropolitan Area of Tenerife.
