About the plan

Ópera de Tenerife opens its season with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Le nozze di Figaro", a four-act opera buffa that will be performed in the Symphony Hall of Auditorio de Tenerife. The production, with an approximate running time of 3 hours and 13 minutes (including interval), will be sung in Italian with surtitles in Spanish and English.

The plot unfolds in a house where masters and servants hide secrets, and where laughter serves as a mask for more serious themes such as abuses of power, loves pushed to their limits, and dignities put to the test. The Countess suffers her humiliation in silence, Susanna fights for her freedom, and Figaro contains his rage. All observe each other, aware of the injustice of the system, as the festivities continue.

This production is a collaboration between the Gran Teatre del Liceu and Auditorio de Tenerife. Musical direction is by Pablo González, and stage direction by Marta Pazos. Original choreography is by Andreas Heise, revived by Rober Gómez. Set design is by Max Glaenzel, lighting by Nuno Meira, and costume design by Agustín Petronio. The chorus master is Miguel Ángel Arqued.

On stage, performers include the Sinfónica de Tenerife as the orchestra, the Coro Titular Ópera de Tenerife-Intermezzo and the Centro Internacional de Danza Tenerife.

Access to the hall will not be permitted once the event has started, and entry is only allowed for those aged five and over.

Season tickets for Ópera de Tenerife are available: the Club Ópera with prices of €140 or €190 depending on the performance day, and the Club Ópera Joven for those under 30 years old for €35. Season ticket renewals begin on 12 May, and new season tickets go on sale from 23 June until the day of the first performance (11 October).
