3rd Agroecology Fair

The 3rd Agroecology Fair takes place in San Cristóbal de La Laguna from 16 to 23 October, dedicating a whole week to local produce, sustainable agriculture, and livestock farming. This event offers a valuable opportunity to get to know the work of those who cultivate and produce the region's food, promoting environmentally friendly practices.

The main and most extensive day of the fair will be held on Saturday 17 October around the Plaza del Cristo, with a comprehensive programme that includes:

• Workshops and activities focused on agroecology, pasture management, and traditional livestock farming.
• Gastronomic tastings and a lively foodie zone where you can sample and purchase high-quality local products.
• Enjoy live music with performances by artists Ínsula and Cristina Mahelo.
• A unique livestock parade showcasing local breeds and featuring shepherds from the municipality. This activity will start at 16:30 from Camino Tornero and conclude in the Plaza del Cristo.

Throughout the week, the fair will also offer a complementary programme including school activities, interesting talks, documentary screenings, and an interpretive route designed to explore the agrosystems of Anaga.

This fair is an excellent opportunity to get closer to Tenerife's rural life, learn about local livestock traditions, and discover the importance of local production.
