Till Divorce Do Us Part
About the plan
The play "Till Divorce Do Us Part" at L'Incanto explores the challenges couples face when infidelity comes to light and the dreaded phrase "I want a divorce" is uttered. This time, Doctor Sanz is tasked with helping a couple who, after more than ten years together, are seeking a separation.
Fer (played by Leonardo Abreu) suspects his wife, Paula (played by Elizabeth Morales), is unfaithful, while Paula harbours the same doubts about Fer. Both protagonists will do everything possible during the therapy sessions, not always with the desired results, and with a clear objective: to keep the assets.
Leonardo Abreu is also the author of this comedy's script, motivated by the search for a theme that would allow for comic play and, at the same time, raise public awareness. He therefore decided to write about the world of couples, convinced that everyone attending the theatre would be able to identify with some scene or argument presented by the actors. According to Abreu, “Infidelity is commonplace today. Who hasn't been unfaithful at least once in their life? You can be unfaithful in many ways, even with your thoughts, and I believe that society currently has no qualms about confessing extramarital affairs”.
