Mareas Festival 2026

The Mareas Festival 2026 comes to Tacoronte to offer a multidisciplinary day focused on diversity, inclusion, interculturality, and citizen participation. This free-entry event transforms various spaces in the municipality into meeting points for all ages, with activities ranging from traditional games and workshops to live music and participatory dialogues.

Friday 23 October

• 09:30 Kick-off with Traditional Canarian Games, led by Club Deportivo Vivir Cuesta Abajo, an activity running until 13:00.
• 10:00 Opening of 'La Feria de Entidades' in Plaza del Cristo, with information stands, workshops, games, exhibitions, and various activities focused on diversity, inclusion, interculturality, employment, and training. This fair will be active until 13:30 and will reopen in the afternoon.
• 10:00 At the Pabellón Municipal, 'DeporTÍZATE IV' takes place, a series of inclusive sports activities organised by SuperAcción, OBITen, Juntas en la Misma Dirección, Equidades Canarias, and Ecca Social, until 13:30.
• 10:00 The Tagoror space hosts an Interreligious Dialogue, with dynamics designed to foster sensitivity, empathy, and listening, until 13:00.
• 11:00 In the Espacio para la Infancia, storytelling 'Adoro la Sandía', presented by the Asociación Dominicana Hermanas Mirabal Tenerife, until 11:45.
• 15:00 Reopening of 'La Feria de Entidades' in Plaza del Cristo, offering new workshops, information stands, exhibitions, and participatory activities until 18:30.
• 15:00 The Pabellón Municipal presents 'Deporte para tod@s', an initiative led by Accem, until 18:30.
• 15:00 Second storytelling session in the Espacio para la Infancia: 'Quisqueya Caribe Adentro', also by the Asociación Dominicana Hermanas Mirabal Tenerife, until 15:45.
• 15:00 The Espacio para la Infancia will also host a Community Space and Collective Mural Creation with Children, under the direction of OneLove, until 18:30.
• 16:00 In the Espacio de Actividades Tradicionales, the Asociación Cultural Tezeze delivers a Canarian Stick Fighting and Traditional Gran Canaria Garrote School, until 19:00.
• 16:30 The children's group 'Amiguitos y Amiguitas' from Juntas en la Misma Dirección presents a puppet show about children's rights, followed by a participatory circle, in the Espacio para la Infancia, until 18:00.
• 17:00 The Tagoror hosts 'MAREFEM', a space for dialogue and collective reflection on gender and intersectional feminism, until 19:00.
• 19:00 On the Escenario, performance by the musical duo JazBlow, formed by Juan Sirote and Alberto Herrera, until 20:00.
• 20:15 On the same Escenario, the show 'Quisqueya Caribe Adentro', featuring stories, poetry, and songs, by the Asociación Dominicana Hermanas Mirabal Tenerife, until 20:45.
• 21:00 The Asociación Danza Percusión Wamma offers a dynamic presentation and workshop of Venezuelan singing and percussion on the Escenario, until 21:30.
• 21:30 To close the musical day, a concert by Murga Las Diabólicas on the Escenario, until 22:00.
• Throughout the day: Various activities by organisations such as ACCEM, Cruz Roja, Barrios por el Empleo, ECCA Social, Ecca.edu, Inserta Fundación ONCE, Las Jalapeñas, Liga Canaria de la Educación y la Interculturalidad, Opción 3, ALIS Canarias, Arena y Laurisilva, Consexus, Equidades Canarias, +Familia, FASICAN, Asero Asociación, Entreculturas, and OneLove, all held at 'La Feria de Entidades' in Plaza del Cristo.
• Throughout the day: Musical ambiance on the Escenario by Bass Factory, with the participation of local and emerging DJs.
