About the plan
The cultural encounter Entre Orillas, an event promoting dialogue and exchange between the cultures of Africa and the Canary Islands, comes to El Socorro, in the municipality of Güímar. This two-day event, organised by the Asociación Vecinal Brisas del Mar, will offer a varied programme including talks, workshops, culinary tastings, and concerts. It's a unique opportunity to explore the rich African culture and its connection to the islands.

Friday 23 October
- 18:00 Talk: 'Continental and Island Africa through Music', by Aníbal Llarena.
- 19:00 Senegalese culinary tasting.
- 20:00 Talk: 'Africa/Canary Islands Rhythms'.
- 21:00 Concert by Arife.
Saturday 24 October
- 12:30 African percussion workshop, led by Günther Dietz Unzeta.
- 13:30 Shared brunch with Senegalese gastronomy.
- 18:00 Canarian percussion workshop, by Compañía Pieles.
- 20:00 Concert by Pavona Selvagem.
