Ensemble Sonido Extremo - Contemporary Festival 2026
About the plan
The Ensemble Sonido Extremo presents a programme of contemporary music featuring five works by current Spanish composers, under the direction of Jordi Francés. This concert, held at Espacio La Granja in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, will include the premiere of a work by Canarian composer José Luis Perdigón, as well as a performance of ‘Machaut Architektur’ by Sánchez Verdú.
As a parallel activity to this concert, on 8 October, there will be a meeting as part of the #endiálogo series, focusing on the relationship between music and architecture. This will take place at RACBA (Tenerife) at 19:00, and will be led by José Luis Besada, musicologist and broadcaster, focusing on the work ‘Machaut Architektur’ which will also be performed at the concert.
This event is part of the VI Festival Contemporáneo de Tenerife 2026, a festival that runs from 26 September to 10 October and has established itself as one of the most important events for avant-garde music on the island.
