This cultural experience explores how a devastating event like 'El Temporal de San Florencio' could have marked a turning point in the city's history.
The narrative focuses on a past storm that devastated lands, crops, and even swept away the Virgin of Candelaria. This momentous event serves as the catalyst to explain how cochineal was introduced, an invasive species that would forever transform the landscape and daily life of La Laguna's inhabitants.
The tour will take place from 19 to 25 October, departing daily from the Plaza del Convento de Las Claras, located in the heart of La Laguna, offering a unique opportunity to connect with the municipality's history and traditions.
