About the plan
Canarias Calling Tenerife returns for its 4th edition as a gathering of cultural resistance, punk, and diversity in the heart of Tenerife. Held at Aguere Cultural in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, this DIY-spirited event is brought to you by Canarias Calling Tenerife and Oxfanzine. It connects underground scenes from Canarias, Berlin, St. Pauli, Essen, and the United Kingdom under the motto “We exist because we resist”, promoting music as a tool for resistance, community, and free expression.
On Friday 4 December 2026, doors at Aguere Cultural will open at 18:00, with performances starting at 18:30. It will be a night dedicated to bands representing different forms of rebellion, noise, and emotion. It’s a meeting place for independent scenes, international friendship, and alternative culture.
The line-up includes:
- Pumuky (Tenerife): With their own unmistakable sound that fuses indie, noise, and raw emotion. Described as strange, intense, and unmistakable.
- Die Verlierer (Berlin / Germany): Delivering dirty and elegant punk, with searing hooks and lyrics that sting. They are soon to release a new album and are known for their tours across Europe and Mexico, being Iggy Pop's favourite band.
- Enrale (Tenerife): A surge of combative electro-punk, characterised by noise, rage, and a defiant attitude.
- Cyanide Pills (Leeds / United Kingdom): Pure '77 punk rock – fast, catchy, and ironic, with an unmistakable style.
