The municipality of El Sauzal will host the Tenerife Blitz Individual 2026 Chess Championship, a sporting event taking place over three days, from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September. This chess championship, organised by the Federación Insular de Ajedrez de Tenerife with the collaboration of Ayuntamiento de El Sauzal and Cabildo de Tenerife, will be held at Sala La Pirámide, located next to the Municipal Market. Admission is free for all enthusiasts and the general public.
