Summer Camps 2026 22/6 - 10h

The La Orotava Town Council, through its Social Welfare and Equality Department, is promoting and organising the Summer Camps 2026, a free initiative designed to help families balance family, personal, and work life during the summer period.

These camps are aimed at children aged between 4 and 16 who are registered residents and effectively live in the municipality of La Orotava. The programme is part of the Co-Responsibility Plan and is co-financed by the Ministry of Equality of the Government of Spain, the Government of the Canary Islands, and the Co-Responsibility Plan itself. The programme will be delivered by the company Educomex, awarded through a public tender process.

The Summer Camps will run from 22 June to 4 September 2026, Monday to Friday, at two locations in the municipality:

  • Parque Cultural Doña Chana
  • Recinto Ferial de Pinolere

Participating families will have access to the following free services at no cost:

  • Dining service
  • Early drop-off (from 07:00 to 08:30)
  • Late pick-up (from 14:00 to 15:00)

Places will be allocated according to the preferred criteria established by the Co-Responsibility Plan. Family income level will be the primary assessment criterion, although it will not be exclusionary. Subsequently, other circumstances will be taken into account, such as:

  • Single-parent families.
  • Women victims of gender violence and other forms of violence against women.
  • Family units with additional care responsibilities for family members or dependants.
  • Individuals with disabilities who have care responsibilities.
  • Situations of vulnerability or risk of social exclusion.
  • Individuals applying for international protection or with refugee status.

Finally admitted individuals must provide documentary proof of the circumstances claimed. Once applications meeting the priority criteria have been processed, any vacant places may be assigned to other families.

Interested families should complete the pre-registration form via the link https://forms.office.com/e/fcx7ZJSptZ?origin=lprLink or using the QR code included in the information poster. For any queries, please contact campamentosvacacionalesorotava@gmail.com.
