About the plan
The Teatro Tamaska company presents Federico García Lorca's play, «Yerma», at the Teatro El Sauzal. This theatrical production offers a contemporary reinterpretation of the tragedy, while respecting the original text and exploring its relevance through an accessible, innovative, and multidisciplinary stage language.
The play addresses universal themes such as the desire for motherhood, social oppression, gender roles, individual freedom, and the conflict between tradition and identity – issues that remain highly relevant in today's society. The project aims not only to stage the play but also to foster an experience of critical reflection and dialogue with the audience.
Furthermore, «Yerma» incorporates a social and educational dimension, aiming to bring theatre and cultural heritage closer to diverse audiences, especially young people and groups at risk of exclusion, through parallel activities such as discussions, workshops, and meetings in educational centres. Ultimately, the play seeks to highlight Lorca's poetic and symbolic richness and demonstrate the contemporary relevance of the human and social conflicts depicted in Yerma.

Prices and Ticket Sales

Tickets can be purchased at the Theatre Offices (calle Constitución, nº 3, next to the Town Hall) from Tuesday to Friday from 08:00 to 15:00, at the box office 90 minutes before the start of the show, or online via the Ticketty platform. To qualify for reduced rates, proof of eligibility must be shown at the box office.
Important: Once the show has started, entry to the auditorium will not be permitted.
