La Vega Pilgrimage
About the plan
The traditional La Vega Pilgrimage returns to Icod de los Vinos to celebrate the festivities in honour of Our Lady of the Rosary and Saint Nicholas. This event, held on 18 October 2026 from 20:00 in the Barrio de la Vega, is one of the most deeply rooted in the municipality.
The parade is characterised by its unique Pivas Engalanadas (decorated agricultural vehicles), a tradition dating back to 1995 that fills the streets of La Vega with colour and joy every year. The procession also includes the revered images of Saint Nicholas and the Virgin of the Rosary.
Participation in this pilgrimage is free of charge, inviting locals and visitors to enjoy an authentic expression of Canarian culture and devotion in a festive, family-friendly atmosphere.
