Romería de Adeje
About the plan
The highly anticipated Romería de Adeje takes place on 18 September as one of the most emblematic events of the municipality's Patron Saint Festivities, honouring the Virgen de la Encarnación, Santa Úrsula, and San Sebastián. It's a day dedicated to keeping Canarian traditions alive and enjoying a festive, family-friendly atmosphere.
The celebration begins at 11:00 with the traditional Romería Mass at the Santa Úrsula parish church. Afterwards, from 13:00, the pilgrims, dressed in their vibrant traditional costumes, begin a picturesque procession through the municipality's streets, setting off from Plaza del Cerco. They will be accompanied by various folk groups and musical ensembles from different parts of the Canary Islands, filling the air with music and joy. The decorated carts, adorned for the occasion, will present their offerings of local produce, flowers, and food, highlighting the richness of Canarian culture and traditions.
Don't miss this authentic fiesta in Adeje on 18 September, a perfect opportunity to experience the essence of traditional festivities in the south of Tenerife.
