La Librea de Tegueste is one of Tenerife's most deeply rooted and emblematic traditional representations, which annually brings the municipality's history and culture to life. This event, combining religious and historical elements with profound symbolism, takes place as part of the Los Remedios festivities. Admission is free, offering a unique opportunity to experience Canarian tradition in a festive and engaging atmosphere.
The celebration includes:
- The moving procession of the Virgen de Los Remedios
- The participation of the Militia, with their distinctive attire
- The vibrant Dance of the Flowers and Boats, with its colourful costumes and ancient choreographies
- Culminating in the recreation of a historical battle that evokes the island's defence, seeking the Virgen's protection against pirate incursions.
The performance will take place on Friday 11 September 2026 at 21:30 in Tegueste's emblematic Plaza de San Marcos.
