The Major Festival of the Most Holy Christ of Sorrows in Tacoronte is the municipality's most important celebration and runs throughout the entire month of September 2026. This deeply traditional event takes place in the iconic Plaza del Cristo and the local Santuario. It is a central commemoration for Tacoronte, paying homage to the second most revered image of Christ in all of the Canary Islands.
