The La Corujera neighbourhood in Santa Úrsula is getting ready to celebrate its Festivities in Honour of San Bartolomé Apóstol, a highly anticipated event that will take place from 20 to 24 August. These will be five days packed with tradition, music, activities for all ages, and events for the whole community to enjoy, making the neighbourhood a meeting point for residents, families, and visitors.
The programme, designed for the enjoyment of children, teenagers, adults, and seniors, aims to strengthen community ties and keep traditions alive.
Programme of Events
Thursday 20 August
- From 19:30: Traditional Noche del Candil in Plaza de La Corujera, an event that maintains its traditional and communal character, marking the start of the celebrations.
Friday 21 August
- From 19:30: DJ Festival with the best music and atmosphere for the night:
- DJ Eme Díaz
- At 20:00: DJ Chris G
- At 22:00: DJ Renzo El Selector will take over to extend the evening.
Saturday 22 August A day especially dedicated to family fun:
- From 10:00: Activities for the little ones with bouncy castles.
- At 14:00: Exciting family scavenger hunt and bicycle ring race.
- At 20:00: Variety Show for all tastes.
- From 22:00: Grand dance with a stellar performance by the orchestra Son Sin Límite.
Sunday 23 August The fun for all ages continues:
- From 10:00: Again, bouncy castles for children's enjoyment.
- At 11:00: Face painting activity.
- At 12:00: Zumba and Salsation session to get your body moving.
- At 12:00: Fun foam party.
- At 14:00: Traditional paella to share as a community.
- From 18:00: Children's Variety Show, focusing on entertaining the little ones.
Monday 24 August (Main Day) This is the main day in honour of the patron saint San Bartolomé Apóstol:
- At 18:00: Celebration of the solemn mass.
- Immediately after: Traditional procession in honour of the patron saint.
- Upon its return: Spectacular fireworks display that will put the finishing touch on five days of intense celebrations.
These festivities, organised by the Comisión de Fiestas in their second year of dedicated volunteer work, are supported by the Ayuntamiento de Santa Úrsula and local businesses. They are a clear example of how community involvement keeps our traditions alive and strengthens the municipality's identity, offering days of gathering, coexistence, and public participation.
