27th Summer of Stories Festival – El Sauzal 2026

The 27th El Sauzal Summer of Stories Festival returns in 2026, filling the municipality with magic, stories, and a wide variety of cultural activities for all ages. This well-established event runs throughout July and August, offering a rich programme that includes oral storytelling sessions, creative workshops, a mini book fair, and exciting rap battles.

The programme is spread across various venues and times throughout El Sauzal:

• Adult Sessions: These will take place on Fridays 24 and 31 July, and every Friday in August (7, 14, 21 and 28), starting at 21:00 at the Anfiteatro del Teatro El Sauzal.
• Children's/Family Sessions: Designed for children and their families, these will be held on Saturdays 18 and 25 July, and Saturdays in August (1, 8, 15 and 22), starting at 11:00 at the Anfiteatro del Teatro El Sauzal.
• Freestyle Rap Battles: For rap and improvisation enthusiasts, these sessions will take place on Saturdays 18 and 25 July, and every Saturday in August (1, 8, 15, 22 and 29), at 21:00 in Plaza del Príncipe.
• Mini Book Fair, Workshops and Oral Storytelling: A special day dedicated to reading and creativity, scheduled for Saturday 29 August, from 09:00 to 13:30, at the entrance to Plaza de San Pedro. It will include a book fair, interactive workshops, and additional oral storytelling sessions.

The Summer of Stories Festival is produced and organised by Teatrofia C.C. and sponsored by Ayuntamiento de El Sauzal, among other collaborating entities.
