Holy Cross of Ravelo Festival 2026

The Holy Cross of Ravelo Festival, in the municipality of El Sauzal, takes place over ten days filled with tradition and fun, from Thursday 16 to Sunday 26 July 2026. The main hub of activities will be Plaza de Ravelo and its surroundings, jointly organised by El Sauzal Town Council, the Parish of the Holy Cross of Ravelo, and the Ravelo Collaborating Committee.

The programme kicks off on Thursday 16 July at 19:00 with a mass at the Cruz de Lucio hermitage, followed by a procession to Cruz de La Majada. On Friday 17, Plaza de Ravelo will host a Drag Show at 21:00, followed by a lively open-air dance party with the Dinacord orchestra.

On Saturday 18, children's activities will take place from 11:00 to 13:30 in the square, while the traditional 'Sortija a caballo' (horse riding ring game) can be enjoyed on Calle Hoya de la Viuda. In the afternoon, at 19:00, the 'Familia Goya' wrestling ground (Terrero de Lucha) in Ravelo will host a 'luchada' (Canarian wrestling match). The night will culminate at 22:30 with a grand open-air dance party in the square, enlivened by the orchestras La Sabrosa and Manaby Band.

On Sunday 19, the area surrounding Plaza de Ravelo will host 'Motor Day' from 10:00 to 13:00. In the afternoon, at 17:30 in the square, there will be a variety show featuring performances by singer Rafael Rodríguez and comedian Yiyolo Strato. The day will conclude at 21:30 with an open-air dance party by the group Primera Marcha.

After a few days' break, the celebrations resume on Friday 24 July with a Fiesta Canaria (Canarian Party) at I.E.S. Sabino Berthelot at 21:00, featuring various 'parrandas' (traditional Canarian music groups), followed by an open-air dance party with Son Sabor.

On Saturday 25, the Trade Fair will be held in Plaza de Ravelo from 10:00 to 16:00, with various performances and activities to enliven the atmosphere. In the afternoon, at 18:00, Holy Mass will take place in Ravelo church, followed by a procession, a fireworks display, and subsequently, an open-air dance party. Pet owners are reminded that the fireworks will last no more than 5 minutes, and it is recommended to take animals to a safe and accompanied place.

Finally, on Sunday 26 July, the festival concludes with the parade of decorated carts ('Carros engalanados'), which will depart at 10:30 from Calle San Cristóbal and arrive at the square, where an open-air dance party with Efraín Martín will await them.
