MATER: Matrescence and Support Group for Mothers

MATER is a new matrescence and support group for mothers that aims to create a tribe for those who, in the process of becoming a mother, feel the need for a space of understanding and companionship. This gathering is presented as a safe place at Calle Ciprés 1 in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, where mothers can speak their truth aloud and share their experiences without judgment.

The group is designed to build a critical filter that protects against the excessive demands and over-information often surrounding motherhood. It is a space free from unsolicited advice or manuals, focused on mutual support and validating real-life experiences. Babies are welcome, as the primary focus is on the mother.

The first MATER meeting will take place on 8 September, and sessions will be held on alternate Tuesdays from 11:00 to 12:30.
