La Gesta 2026

The re-enactment of La Gesta of 25 July 1797 returns to Santa Cruz de Tenerife for its 2026 edition, celebrating its coming of age with an event that brings together history, honour, memory, and tradition. This exciting journey back in time relives the events that took place 229 years ago in Tenerife's capital, offering an immersive experience to discover one of the most significant chapters in the history of the Canary Islands.

The re-enactment will run for three days, from Friday 24 July to Sunday 26 July, taking place in various emblematic locations across Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
