The play "La Berma", directed by Agustín Domínguez Cordero, will be performed at Sala Teatro Timanfaya in Puerto de la Cruz as part of the DOCanarias Festival. This moving theatrical piece, lasting 90 minutes, tells the powerful story of Yauguiha Mohamed Embarec.
Yauguiha is a young Sahrawi refugee who carries out the dangerous work of demining the planet's longest operational military barrier. This wall, stretching 2,720 kilometres, conceals over 10 million mines, making it the most heavily mined area in the world and her a symbol of resilience and struggle. The production originates from Spain and Western Sahara.
