About the plan
The Fiestas del Carmen 2026 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife pay tribute to the patron saint of seafarers with a moving religious and maritime programme.
On this official day, the capital city is adorned to celebrate Our Lady of Mount Carmel with the participation of devotees and the maritime community.
The main event will begin at 18:00 with a series of acts starting from the Iglesia de la Concepción. Attendees can take part in and witness:
- A solemn Eucharist in honour of the Virgin.
- A land procession through the streets of Santa Cruz.
- A significant maritime procession, where the image of the Virgin is taken aboard and accompanied by various boats, a traditional spectacle that crosses the port waters.
- The traditional singing of the Salve Mariana.
