Science and Environment Activities for Young People

Santa Úrsula Town Council will be running a comprehensive programme of science and environment activities throughout July, specifically aimed at young people aged between 12 and 16 years. This initiative seeks to foster knowledge, awareness, and respect for the natural environment through a series of educational and participatory experiences.

The activities will mainly take place at La Casa Verde, allowing participants to delve into the world of science and environmental conservation. The programme includes:

• museum visits
• wildlife rescue centres
• exciting marine wildlife observation activities
• other educational proposals linked to the study and understanding of the Canary Islands' ecosystems

Through this programme, young people will be able to discover first-hand the importance of biodiversity, learn about the valuable work carried out by various entities dedicated to researching and protecting the natural environment, and acquire essential tools to develop greater environmental awareness. This programme is part of the initiatives promoted by Santa Úrsula Town Council to encourage environmental education among the municipality's youth, instilling values of sustainability and environmental care from an early age.
